9. Infinity Athletics at the Wolstein Center

This week at Infinity Athletics did not go to well! We competed at the Wolstein Center in down town cleveland. Senior three competed first and we were agaisnt 5 teams ! We performed pretty well but we had some stunts fall! :( All of our tumbleing went and hit but we still didnt do our best. we ended up getting 3rd place! my coaches wernt very happy! Usually we would have to have an extra practice.because we didnt perform well but because level five will be in Indianapolis all next weekend!

As for level five, we did much better than we usually do except we had one fall and a lot of tumbleing touch downs! All together the team did really well and made a great performance. We competed agaisnt three teams and we ended up getting third! :( For level five there hasnt been a competition that we havnt gotten last. But because we work hard at practice to get better an better each competition we dont have to have any extra practices.

10.This week at Infinity Athletics

This past couple of week we had a competition in Indianapolise. It was a two day competition so we got to stay there for 3 days. On day one we competed very well! we were placed 13th out of 22 teams. We performed everything really well, our stunts and pyrimid hit perfect and our tumbling was good but not perfect. For our team to go out on the floor and perform the way we did and place the way we did the first day was an awesome feeling for us because we are used to not placeing at all and always getting last.

But the second day was completely different, we had some of our team members make the wrong choices the night before. But we went on the floor and did what we could, we had only one stunt fall and everything else hit really good but it wasnt as good as the first day. After every team competed we got back on the stage for awards. we ended up placing in 18th. We all had mixed emotions because we dropped places but we still beat 4 teams.

Because we did good our coach let us have an easy practice. But we will also have a hard practice on Monday that is extra long because on Wednesday we have a Christmas party so we miss practice that day. all together it was a very good week at Infinity Athletics.

last week at infinity

This past Week at Infinity Athletics we have been practicing more because we have another competition coming up and we still need a lot of work on our routine. For the most part, the routine is hitting pretty well for level five but level three isnt doing very well. Level fives practice went really good on monday and wednesday so we didnt have to come in for an extra stunt practice on sunday. But level three did! Our routine stills needs a lot of cleening up before our competiton because none of the stunts are hitting!

The competion this coming weekend is in Cleveland and both level five and level three with be competing ! level five doest have very much competition i think they only go agaisnt one or two other teams but level three will being going against six other teams:// Hopefully everything hits.

cheer blog

The past two weeks at cheerleading have been hectic. Nothing was going right and we had two people get injured. On senior 3 Devlin fell out of her stunt at practice and ended up cracking her elbow. She was also on level 5 so we had to find a replacement! We found a replacement for both teams but because they are new to learning everything nothing was the same and nothing was hitting. We have a lot of empty spots left open and we are just going to have to deal without them. We have a competition this weekend in Columbus, but level 5 will not be competing.

The competition isn’t a very big one but its good practice. Senior 3 has been getting better and all stunts and tumbling have been hitting perfectly accept for one. Although we get frustrated, because we have 6 out of the stunts hitting perfect but we have one that is in the front falling every time. We lose major points because of it and the stunt group doesn’t even come in to work on their stunt.  Im very excited for this competition because its not very big and I don’t have to stay overnight.

6. competition !

This last week at infinity athletics, we went to kalahari to compete. I competed on both teams senior 3 and senior 5. Level 3 competed earlier in the day and we had a very tough warm up. All of our stunts were falling and no one could hit our pyrimid correctly. We all thought we were going to do horrible once we got on to the floor but we went on and did very well. Every stunt hit except for one group and our pyrimid almost fell but we saved it. we ended up coming in 3rd out of 9. Everyone was very happy because the younger girls comepted very well also.

When we went into warm ups for senior 5 everyone was very very nervous !!! We only had to go up against one other team and they were very good! We started to warm up our stunts, baskets, and pyrimid and again like senior 3 nothing was hitting right. by the time we got to tumbleing everyone was doing really well and landing all of their passes. we got to the big floor to run our routine it was a disaster! only 2 stunt groups hit and our pyrimid almost fell. we did not win but we did try our best.

last week at infinity athletics

last week at infinity athletics,  we have been working really hard on our pyrimid and stunts because our first competiton is coming up this November ! Our level five team needs to work very hard to perform well on November 3rd because level five is the hardest level that any cheer team can compete at. We had to work Christina back into the routine because she just got done coming back from having a broken leg. We finally got all of our stunt groups to hit their stunt ! We also got the pyramid to get close to hitting we got one side perfect and we are still working on the other.

All the girls have been working very hard ! we have everyone working on their fulls and we have about 5 people that are part of team get their fulls solid. We can now finally run our routine  full out with all tumbling, jumps, and stunts. Even though we are all worn out at the end of a practice, competitive Cheerleading is what we strive and love to do which is what brings us back every Monday and Wednesday to work our hardest to succeed !

My Cheerleading Week!

This past cheerleading week was pretty tuff. I was sick most of the week so I couldn’t practice at either one of my cheerleading practices. Missing Avon Lake is basically the best thing that could happen in my day.

Avon Lake cheerleading sucks because my coach really gets on my nerves about everything. She doesn’t understand how to handle important situations and she just lets everything get out of proportion. There is technically a form of bullying on this squad to the point where the girls make others cry. Even after the situation has been brought up to the coach she gets angry but does nothing about it to change it!

On other terms, I also cheer at Infinity Athletics in Avon Lake and its great! I have practice every Monday and Wednesday. At practice its nice because we treat each other like sisters and we all work together. There is no bullying or miss treating others. When there is a situation that is brought up about a fight between girls the coaches take it seriously and handle the situation well.

I love cheerleading and being around all my girls, but when I am at games or practices for Avon Lake I don’t get the strive to cheer. My smile fades and I just get pissed and stand my ground for my friends and I. The difference of my performance from being in the infinity gym and being at Avon Lake practice is so crazy because I literally hate cheerleading one practice and completely love it at the next.

3. Top Gun

In my opinion the Top Gun All-Stars are a very hard working and devoted team.  All team members and coaches work very hard to stay motivated and determined to reach their goals. Not only has this team won first place at many local and distant competitions but they have also gotten full paid bids to the cheerleading and dance worlds 5 times.  Top Gun is a very energetic and fun team to watch. This team has inspired me to work my hardest at excelling in cheerleading whether it was at practice or tumbling or a competition.
Top Gun is my favorite team because they always push each other to do their best. Not only do they work together very well but when they are practicing or competing they work their very hardest to be tight with their motions, hit every stunt, land all their tumbling, and hit their pyramid.
This year at The Cheerleading Worlds, Top Gun All-Stars had all of their level 5 teams compete and they all came with full paid bids. While they were there, they managed to place 1st in their unlimited co-ed level five division. Their other teams did very well but did not get placed in the top 3 in any division. All in all Top Gun is a very talented and all around great team . they have inspired me a lot through all of my cheerleading years.

2. Gym Tyme

Gym Tyme All-Stars are located in Louisville, Kentucky. They have a total of 11 competitive all-star cheerleading teams. The first team is Cherries which is a tiny level 1 team, ages 3-5. The next team is Rubies which is a mini level 1 team, ages 6-8. The third team is Peach which is a youth level 2/3 team, ages 9-11. The next team is Smoke which is a junior level 2 team, ages 9-14. They also have a junior level 4 team which is called Smoke and its ages 12-14. The sixth team Sr.White which is a senior restricted co-ed level 5 team, ages 15-18. They also have Onyx and Platinum which are small and medium co-ed level 5 teams, ages 15-18.

The Gym Tyme All-stars have sent all three of their level 5 teams to The Cheerleading World 10 consecutive years in a row and have never won but they have gotten second place and are now ranked number 2 in the world. All of the competitive cheer teams at this gym work very hard but the level 5 teams have to work 10 times harder because of there level of skill and difficulty.

These teams have a very hectic schedule. For the smaller level teams they have practices two times a week usually every Tuesday and Sunday for at least 2 hours. But for all the senior teams, the have practice three times a week usually every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday for 2-3 hours at a time. Outside of practice they go to approximately 20-30 competitions a year.

1. KENTUCKY ELITE

The number 1 top rated all-star cheer gym in my opinion, is Kentucky Elite. Since 1995, Premier Athletics has been training kids of all ages. in tumbling, cheer, and dance. They have different services such as preschool classes, beginner, intermediate, and elite tumbling. Also they serve birthday parties and competitive cheer and dance competitions.

Premier Athletics of Lexington is home to the Kentucky Elite Allstars. The Kentucky Elite Allstar Program was founded in 1995 and has been featured in many forms of media such as; magazines, newspapers, and ESPN. From 1995-2012 the Kentucky Elite All-Stars have won 140 national championships, and have produced over 100 athletes at the college level. They have a lot of different levels of cheerleading teams at their gym but their most hard working and the team with the most rewards would be their co-ed large level 5 team, which consists of 24 girls and 9 boys. The division of cheer leading that they are in is very difficult. They have practice 2 times a week but when it comes close to competition time the will hold practices from 3-5 times a week depending on the importance of the competition.

They train in a 16,000 square-foot state-of-the-art facility, and they have an incredible coaching/training staff. The Kentucky Elite All-Stars have gone to the Cheerleading Worlds for many consecutive years and have won. This competitive cheerleading gym works very hard for what they want and they are now rated number one in the world over all. This team has inspired me to work hard to get where I am now with my love towards cheerleading.
